Gulf Marine Protein Inc. (“GMP”) is a company that is set to produce Advanced Fish Protein in order to tap into unmet market needs for fishmeal and fish oil globally. Borne on the backs of deep industry expertise and market-leading technologies. After evaluating the current methodologies of conventional fishing operations and processing plants, GMP has designed and procured the technologies to produce what we term as “Advanced Fish Protein” in the forms of high-quality Menhaden fishmeal, fish oil and high calcium bone meal. Our fishing operations are designed to provide a superior raw material to our plant operations. The advanced technologies, both process and equipment, found throughout the plant will then convert this raw material into a superior product market by better quality and digestibility of the fishmeal and fish oil produced. Given the low carbon footprint associated with GMP’s production processes, as well as the low greenhouse gas emissions, each production facility is projected to generate carbon credits. Production of Menhaden Fish Meal, Menhaden Fish Oil and High Calcium Bone Meal
The term fish meal means a product obtained by drying and grinding or otherwise treating fish or fish waste to which no other matter has been added. Generally fish meal is a product containing not more than 6 per cent oil and not more than 4 per cent salt. Fish meal is generally sold as a powder, and is used mostly in compound foods for poultry, pigs and farmed fish; it is far too valuable to be used as a fertilizer.Menhaden Fish Oil is a natural, non-hydrogenated and structurally unaltered fish oil containing approximately 35% total omega-3 fatty acids with a balanced concentration of EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic Acid). Menhaden Fish Oil is polished to reduce the moisture content.Menhaden Fish High Calcium Bone Meal is a marine based alternative to traditional steamed bone. meal. A great source of organic phosphorus and calcium, Fish Bone Meal also contains a small amount of organic nitrogen and is an ideal fertilizer for new garden beds, perennials and shrubs
